Dan Schlossberg is the only American journalist who covers travel and baseball exclusively. Among his 33 baseball books are Baseball Gold: Mining Nuggets from Our National Pastime [Triumph Books, 2007] and 2006 autobiographies of Ron Blomberg and Milo Hamilton. Dan co-founded the North American Travel Journalists Association [NATJA] in 1991 and has been president since 1994. He is travel editor of ConsumerAffairs.com, contributing editor of 'Travel With Kal' radio, Sports & Sights columnist for Travel World International, and freelance writer for many newspapers, websites, and magazines, including AAA publications and inflights for United and US Airways. He is past president of both the Garden State Journalists Association and the Syracuse (N.Y.) chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. The former AP newsman is a lifelong resident of Northern New Jersey.

Northern Maine

Northern Maine is a sparsely-populated land of lighthouses, lobsters, lakes, and pines- surrounded by Atlantic seascapes that entice artists as well as fishermen. They call it "DownEast" but it should really be "UpNorth."
