Go to visit its red clay dirt villages and feel the cozy sense of community of its small town residents. Its rural areas are packed with dense woodlands, good for camping and fishing. And Gulfport is being touted as one of the county’s upcoming entertainment and resort areas. Or go to the music night spots of the Mississippi Delta, which spawned so many of blues greats, such as Charlie Patton, Ma Rainey, Howlin' Wolf, and Muddy Waters, it is seen as a region that changed the world of recording.
